2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R

The 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R comes from the heart of Japan, and has likewise been kept incredibly under wraps. Japanese auto manufacturers have been very quiet on the 2008 model, but details about the new Skyline GT-R have inevitably begun to leak out to the general public.

Because of this secrecy, many of the hardware details are not known. Speculation and rumors have claimed that the new Skyline will sport a twin-turbo engine, coming in at six cylinders. It is expected to run between 400-500 horsepower, and is also speculated to sport a 3.8 liter engine. Other than this modest speculation, information on the technical and critical details of the new Nissan Skyline G-TR have yet to be uncovered.

What is apparent, however, is the design of the GT-R. A prototype of the design was showcased to the public at an automobile show in Tokyo, Japan. This prototype has since been captured in pictures while test driving on a track. What is known is that the design is very clean and efficient. It will appeal to many age groups, especially those who are looking for something a bit different from the mainstream line of cars.
