2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R Article- 399 Words
2008 Nissan Skyline GT-RThe 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R comes from the heart of Japan, and has likewise been kept incredibly under wraps. Japanese auto manufacturers have been very quiet on the 2008 model, but details about the new Skyline GT-R have inevitably begun to leak out to the general public. Because of this secrecy, many of the hardware details are not known. Speculation and rumors have claimed that the new Skyline will sport a twin-turbo engine, coming in at six cylinders. It is expected to run between 400-500 horsepower, and is also speculated to sport a 3.8 liter engine. Other than this modest speculation, information on the technical and critical details of the new Nissan Skyline G-TR have yet to be uncovered. What is apparent, however, is the design of the GT-R. A prototype of the design was showcased to the public at an automobile show in Tokyo, Japan. This prototype has since been captured in pictures while test driving on a track. While these are in fact considered a prototype, they final design of the new Skyline are thought to be very close to the current prototype model. The design is something new in car designs, and is considered unconventional. An oddly shaped grill features a smooth black surface that is indented into the body of the Skyline. The headlights show this same indent, and feature the same black surface. It almost looks something reminiscent of a futuristic concept car, except for the fact that the prototype is very well and running. The 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R is a coupe, and has a nice range of design features to help showcase style. The oversized rims feature 7 sleek spokes that make the Skyline look menacing. The extremely dark tinted windows look great with the natural impressive shape and design of the side windows. The hood is fairly plain, but it goes well with the overall body of the car- which is to say sleek and smooth. In fact, a hood scoop would only make the Skyline what it isn't- an everyday coupe. Overall, the 2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R has so far been incredibly hyped. The lack of details and information on what is under the hood has been driving fans wild. What is known is that the design is very clean and efficient. It will appeal to many age groups, especially those who are looking for something a bit different from the mainstream line of cars.WidgetBucks - Trend Watch - WidgetBucks.com
